Mobile Hotspot

The Delafield Library provides a small collection of mobile hotspots to its patrons to enable them to access the internet at no charge to the user. To ensure fair use by all patrons, the following guidelines apply:

  • Borrowers must be 18 years of age, with a valid CAFÉ library card in their name in good standing
  • Hotspots must be checked out and returned to a staff member at the library’s circulation desk during normal operating hours
  • A household may borrow only one hotspot at a time
  • Hotspots can be checked out for seven (7) days and may not be renewed. A $50 late charge per day will be assessed if the hotspot is not returned by the due date
  • There is no “grace period” for the hotspots, as there is for other collections. Fines will begin accruing the moment the item is overdue
  • The Delafield Public Library reserves the right to limit the use hotspots for any individual, family, or household, in the case of abuse or misconduct as determined by the library director
  • If the hotspot is not returned on and/or before the due date, service will be turned off. If service is turned off three separate times for the same user, that user will no longer be allowed to use the hotspot collection
