This Man Trilogy by Jodi Ellen Malpas

Reviewed by Jen Bremer (Library Staff)

This book series horribly and disgustingly romanticizes abuse. The controlling, manipulative, and debasing behavior of the main character’s romantic interest surpasses every line of what is acceptable behavior and the author tries to make it out as “normal” behavior through the woman’s acceptance of his violent manhandling. Additionally, the plot is inconsistent with the same rote storyline being recycled each book with little variation. The series tries too hard to be the next Fifty Shades of Grey and fails in the most spectacular way. This series was by far the worst books I have ever had the displeasure of reading. I recommend this series to absolutely no one.
