The Unscratchables by Cornelius Kane

Reviewed by Judy B (Library Staff)

The premise of dogs, cats, ferrets, birds, etc. as cops, CIA, FBI and assorted society elements involved in a murder mystery sounded hilarious. And it does have moments of laugh-out-loud punning. The author does a good job translating the dialogue into “animal slang”, but the story itself was a bit weak.
Still, a fun summer read for pet owners.
