The Lions of Fifth Avenue by Fiona Davis

This was an excellent read. The author weaves an interesting tale of how a present day librarian discovers information about her past generations that may reveal characteristics and actions that changes her mindset about their lives. Sadie, the present day main character, works in the career field of some of her family tree members. As she works on the opening of a new exhibit, she discovers the actions of her ancestors. Some of her ancestors left some unsolved events in the history of the NY Library system. The author uses the technique of flashbacks to tell the tale of this parallel plot story. Each plot had interesting twists and kept my attention. If you have an interest in parallel plots and genealogy this might be a good pick for you!
