This wonderfully delightful novel was a breath of fresh air, specifically about the intricacies of marriage. Milwaukee wife and mother MJ Boudreaux knows that her and her husband Chris seem to be on different wavelengths lately. She’s just not sure which is worse–the fact that they are or the fact the she doesn’t really care. In an effort to solidify their relationship, she takes up Chris’ hobby of playing poker. She would never guess where this would lead her: all the way to Las Vegas for an illustrious tournament and, simultaneously, to the brink of divorce.
