I’m a Good Dog by Ken Foster

The caption on this book couldn’t be truer, “Pit Bulls, America’s Most Beautiful and Misunderstood Pets.” Foster’s work combats the stigma and stereotypes attributed to this breed of dog in particular. Their history is explored and readers may be surprised to learn even just a century ago, Pit Bulls were considered family dogs and lovable companions for children. The media has since portrayed them as monsters when in reality, these animals play a generous role in society. They perform search-and-rescues, incredible feats of strength to save loved ones, assist police forces and even serve as therapy dogs. Most importantly, Foster encourages us to recognize them as lovable members of our families.
