In this movie based on a true story, three African-American women mathematicians, Katherine G. Johnson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughan (Octavia Spencer), and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monae), serve vital roles at NASA during the early years of the Space Program. I recommend that everyone see this movie. It was wonderful. It brought to my attention a part of history that I knew nothing about. These women were integral parts to NASA, yet I never heard about them, which is sad. But now we have this movie to see, and there is also a book by the same name, so you can learn all about these remarkable women. Sit down, grab a bowl of popcorn, and enjoy!
