UFOs and the Government: a Historical Inquiry
Wednesday, June 5th @ 6pm

Meet Milwaukee author, Richard Thieme, who will
discuss the Government's bungling response to
the UFO phenomenon. Registration is required.

 

The Friends of the Delafield Public Library are sponsoring one
young writer to attend the “Art of Writing” Conference for Young Authors & Artists at the Milwaukee Art Museum on Thursday, July 25, 2013 from 9:00am – 4:00pm, where they will create original stories for publication inspired by masterpieces in the museum’s collection.

To be eligible for sponsorship, please submit a short essay (300 words or less) stating why you would like to attend this conference and what it would mean to you. Submissions are due Thursday, June 20 by 8:00pm. Please submit essays either in person addressed to Melissa Rader, Teen Librarian at the Delafield Public Library (500 Genesee Street, Delafield WI) or email submissions to Melissa at mrader@wcfls.lib.wi.us with the subject heading “Art of Writing Essay.”

The recipient of this sponsorship will need permission from a parent/guardian and transportation to the conference on July 25. For more information about the conference itself, please see www.artofwritingconferences.com.
