There are various ways to write and format your résumé and/or cover letter and to approach an interview, but here are some things you might find helpful.

Resume Templates:

Microsoft Word documents you can use to construct your résumé, with your adding, deleting, and modifying sections as is appropriate.

  • BEFORE MAKING ANY CHANGES, save the document to your own disk or flash drive
  • Make your changes to the template.
  • Resave as you edit this document.
  • Chronological Résumé is the most effective résumé format for job seekers with solid experience and a logical job history. >>
  • Functional Résumé might be thought of as a "problem solving" format; it gives you latitude to "make sense" of your work history and match up skills and accomplishments that might not be obvious to the employer in a traditional chronological format. >>
 
 

Resume Keywords and Scannable Resumes
